Consistency is the key to success.

Consistency is the single most important thing if you truly want to achieve something. This is the first thing I tell anyone when they ask me how to achieve results.

I believe that I am where I am today because I have stayed consistent for so many years. I’m not saying that my fitness journey has been perfect and that I’ve been in a constant state of progression.

That is certainly not the case. I’ve gone through months, even years where I’ve felt less motivated than others. I’ve gone through months where I didn’t believe I could actually achieve desired results. There have been times I chose to be lazy over going to the gym. I’ve chosen partying over early morning gym sessions before. I’ve chosen pizza over chicken before. I’ve had workouts where I barely did anything before. Through my journey, there’s been times I’m super lean and times I’m not as lean, my performance has gone up and down, and my commitment levels have been here and there.  But the one thing that has stayed the same for YEARS is my consistency. I’ve continued to go back.

I never let let a few bad days carry over to a bad week, a bad month, a bad year.

Remember this- consistency does not mean perfection. It is unrealistic to expect perfection.
